Shift: This role is 5th Shift, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.38 an hour + $1.50 shift differential

Conagra Brands in Darien, WI a local supplier of Birds Eye products, is seeking qualified individuals to fill entry level openings in the production department for A shift. Reporting to Production Supervisors, you will work on-site at one of Conagra's largest manufacturing facilities with over 800 employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform and become proficient at several production jobs done within the facility.


• To manually or automatically assemble cases to meet production requirements/specifications.


• Monitor auto filled bags or trays for required fill weight, back seal, end seal, label placement, date code and label accuracy to requirements/specifications.


• Select acceptable bags/units for hand casing for case count, orientation and placement


• Report deviations from product requirements to the operators or supervisors


• Visually inspect products and ingredients for blemishes or other flaws, extraneous vegetable material or discolored units


• Stop production to report any serious deviation in quality or operating parameters, or malfunction of line equipment


• Maintain work area by completing housekeeping and janitorial responsibilities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Be proficient in English (writing and speaking) to perform all responsibilities


• Must be able to complete basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply and divide)


• Can lift, push, pull and carry up to 30lbs through the shift.


• Must be able to walk, stand and bend constantly through the entire shift.


• Must be able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours in a shift, either day or night


• Can work in an environment that averages 40 - 44 degrees Fahrenheit


• Must learn and follow quality control points and practices (GMP's/HACCP/FSMA)


• Must work well with others as a production team.


• Must have reliable attendance.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent


• $19.37 per hour + $1.50 per hour attendance bonus


• Overtime Eligibility (based on needs)
