Position Description:
We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, with a focus on Databricks and Azure Data Factory. You will develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and manage the full lifecycle of data and analytics solutions.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and manage end-to-end data and analytics solutions leveraging Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Data Factory.
Build secure and scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Databricks or similar tools.
Perform migrations from on-premises to cloud data platforms.
Utilize DevOps and DataOps tools (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Azure DevOps, data governance tools).
Work within an agile environment, collaborating with product owners to manage technical backlogs.
Communicate effectively in various settings, promoting the vision of cloud data platforms.
What You Bring to the Team:
Reside within a commutable distance to our Austin, Texas office, valuing a hybrid work schedule with regular onsite collaboration.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience as a data engineer, with strong proficiency in Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
3+ years of experience designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Cloud.
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, or Scala.
Preferred: Azure Data Engineering or Databricks Certification, expertise with other cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake).
Expertise in cloud-based data platforms, ELT processes, data architecture, and data migration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills.
Knowledge of Reltio (MDM), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning is a plus.
