As the Research Nurse
Manageryou are responsible for the overall day to day clinical operations of the research nurses.




  • You will oversee and manage day-to-day activities of a team of Research Nurses and research assistants


  • You will oversee clinical trial-related activities completed and performed by the research nurses to assure completeness and accuracy as well as adherence to federal and state guidelines


  • You will provide suggestions for improvement in processes and overall quality and monitors outcome if deficiencies are identified


  • You will assist with training new research nurses


  • You will problem-solve clinical situations along with research nurses as they arise


  • You will monitor patient enrollment at sites through weekly and monthly reporting.


  • You will identify opportunities and develop action plans as necessary to increase patient accrual


  • You will assist in development and tracking of quarterly goals for each research nurse and clinic


  • You will meet with physicians and administrators as needed to assess performance of clinic


  • You will evaluate staffing needs and provides optimal coverage of research offices


  • You will communicate to the research nurses the overall performance standards and expectations day to day


  • You will make frequent visits to research sites


  • You will interview research nurse candidates


  • You will work with other team members in Clinical Operations department to ensure communication and responsibility are effective among the two groups


  • You will be responsible for individual site goals, financial performance, quality assurance, oversight and contracted patient enrollment


  • You will submit annual performance evaluations to supervisor for review and conduct the evaluations




You should have for this position:




  • An Associate Degree; preferably a Bachelor's Degree


  • RN License


  • Knowledge of medical and research terminology


  • Knowledge of FDA Code of Federal Regulations and GCP


  • Knowledge of the clinical research processes


  • At least three years of oncology experience preferred


  • At least three years of experience in a research setting preferred


  • At least three years of supervisory or management experience


  • Research Certification (ACRP, CCRP or SOCRA) Preferred


  • OCN certification preferred
