DESCRIPTION:
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilites will include but not limited to the following:
Troubleshooting, re-installation and maintenance of electronic audio/visual equipment, installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance, Communicating system performance to the customer and to the Service Department or Installation Department. Assist the Technical Operations team performing installation and system commissioning work as needed. Clear communication, documentation and organization of paperwork, tools and the company vehicle are a necessary function of the position. Travel to client sites as well as occasional out of town travel may be required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Field Commissioning of AV Systems and other Engineering related duties.
The final commissioning of audio-visual equipment, including, but not limited to audio DSPs, CODECs, switchers, control systems, VTC systems, and video processors.
Create user guides and train end users on how to use their A/V control systems.
Refine current processes, develop a better workflow, and make recommendations.
Work closely with the Technical Operations team, the Installation Manager and the Manager of AV Integration while assuring a professional and safe working environment.
Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
Minimum two years of AV experience is preferred
A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) both hardware and software
AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
