The Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) program is aimed at delivering mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services to severely impaired individuals who suffer without access to essential treatment. The Administrative Specialist I is essential to the daily operations of the CARE Court Program, working in close collaboration with the Clinical Program Manager and the CARE Court team.
How will I contribute
Provide clerical assistance by managing data entry, reporting, and documentation. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible. Maintain and manage the scheduling calendar for the CARE Court Program, including scheduling appointments and coordinating transportation for consumers. Receive and manage packages, mail, emails, deliveries, phone calls, and messages. Greet visitors and callers, addressing their inquiries or directing them to the appropriate personnel. Restock office supplies, printer paper, and cleaning supplies as needed. Maintain the in/out staffing board to ensure clear communication among team members. Assist peer support staff with transportation requests and planning transport schedules. Provide transportation for consumers when necessary. Work collaboratively with the CARE Court Program team to enhance social media and internet presence, assisting with the creation and distribution of newsletters, calendars, and other public communications. Perform data entry into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (SmartCare) to support program operations. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall mission of the CARE program. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the program.
What I bring
High School Diploma (or Equivalent) 1 year of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. Lived experience or experience with a family member with mental health and/or substance use recovery; including, but not limited to, mental illness, addiction, foster care, high ACEs score, trauma, intimate partner violence, homelessness, and neurodivergence. Class C Driving License Knowledge of privacy health information protocols, records management Take personal responsibility to practice strategies and work-life balance necessary to maintain personal wellness. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes while maintaining healthy emotional regulation. Communicate effectively with consumers and co-workers. Work comfortably with a variety of diversly-abled people. Must be comfortable working with people with diverse abilities and challenges. Creative, flexible, patient, and non-judgmental. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and tolerance for working in busy environments. College degree in a related field, Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
