Child Action, Inc. (CAI) is a private, non-profit corporation created in 1976 to promote the education and social welfare of children and families and to advocate on their behalf. Our programs include resource and referral services for families seeking childcare, child care subsidies for qualifying families, recruitment and professional development of the child care workforce, and family education and support.

Position Purpose & Scope:
The Child Care Subsidy Compliance Coordinator assists in the day-to-day workflow of the Child Care Subsidy department. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of intermediate tasks including project coordination. The Child Care Subsidy Compliance Coordinator is responsible for knowing and adhering to all guidelines, regulations and policies developed or set forth by the Board of Directors, the Executive Director, Director of Client Services, the State Department of Education/Child Development Division, and/or the State Department of Social Services.
Typical Duties:
Provides peer mentoring and training to new Child Care Subsidy Coordinators
Reviews discrepancy reports and follows up with appropriate supervisor or manager
Assists Child Care Subsidy Supervisors with checking
Provides training to Child Care Subsidy Coordinators regarding perceived error patterns
Manages assigned caseload
Receives client calls and walk-ins
Conducts new enrollments/recertification appointments
Accesses and prints appropriate information from county computer system
Performs Worker-of-the-Day duties; covers client calls and walk-ins for absent Child Care Subsidy Coordinators
Assists other Child Care Subsidy Coordinators as directed; back up Child Care Subsidy Coordinator to provide coverage during vacation or leave
Attends periodic training and meetings
Attends agency training workshops as needed or upon request
Attends weekly case management meetings and other meetings as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
