Job Details:



Essential Functions of the job:


• Pest controller is responsible for monitoring all rodent bait stations around processing plant area and any outside surrounding buildings.
• They also have rodent bait stations inside of the processing plant in all electrical room, shipping docks, Eviseration area, picking room, box room, maintenance shop area, and all office areas.
• If any rodents are found at or around bait stations, then it is reported to management.
• All outside doors in processing are checked to see that they close properly and are secure. No open spaces or daylight around door where rodents could possibility enter building.


• Constant monitoring of all employee welfare areas to ensure cleanliness and identify any potential issues.
• If any problems occur, then it is reported to management.
• These rounds are documented in safety chain 3 time a day.


Requirements of the job:


• Must be able to maneuver freely throughout the plant


• Must be able to maintain written records and data information


• Must be able to use both hands, arms, and fingers in gripping motion


• Must be able to stand duration of shift up to 8 hours


• Must be able to climb steps and maneuver through plant


• Must be able to communicate effectively with upper management and hourly team members


• Must be able to read and write efficiently to record data from hourly checks



Rehire Criteria:




Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.




Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
