Job Role Summary
The Health Information Systems Analyst - CCBHC & SEMHC ensures health information data integrity from collection through reporting and plays an instrumental role in the implementation, maintenance, optimization and utilization of SEMHC's Epic and Division of Mental Health and Addiction's (DMHA) Data Assessment Registry Mental Health and Addiction (DARMHA) systems. This position works with direct care team members and providers to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes and by providing support in accordance with organizational goals. Using their expertise in mental health workflows and these health information systems, this position serves as a technical bridge between team members, business needs and technology and is responsible for training and ongoing team member training/coaching support within the agency as well as the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Serving as a liaison between SEMHC and the State DARMHA team, this position is responsible for data integrity as well as the transfer of data between SEMHC and DARMHA with a high level of quality, including monitoring and timely resolution of error reports from DARMHA as well as retrieval and analysis of quality measure reporting from DARMHA.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Uses expertise in mental health workflows and health information systems, helps mental health operations create clinical and business solutions to address challenges, goals, and strategic objectives through Epic and DARMHA systems
• Responsible for all processes, data exchange, and reporting with State of Indiana DARMHA system
• Responsible for submission of all SEMHC Epic tickets and owns follow-up and monitoring through resolution
• Responsible for Epic and DARMHA training for new and existing SEMHC team members
• Responsible for collecting data and developing reports for the Continuous Quality Improvement Manager and/or SEMHC Senior Leadership, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement ("QAPI"), regulatory surveys, and other such needs
• Demonstrates understanding of the DARMHA system, including data shared from Epic and how it flows into DARMHA
• Directly responsible with safeguarding integrity of data in transfers between Epic and DARMHA
• Monitors DARMHA error reports and other reporting to ensure data integrity and identifies and resolves issues
• Coordinates with the SEMHC education team and the Epic training team to train both new SEMHC employees and ongoing training of CCBHC staff
• Provides ongoing Epic training and support to staff in community and clinic settings
• Utilizing expertise and direct care team members' feedback, provides recommendations to SEMHC leadership for improved Epic workflows
• Develops a working knowledge of all clinical information systems in place at SEMHC as well as the infrastructure for the clinical information systems to support the direct care team members and leadership in training
• Assists the Continuous Quality Improvement Manager in data collection, reporting, and analysis
Job Requirements
• Master's degree in human services field; bachelor's degree in human services and 2 years of Epic experience working in a community mental health setting may be considered in lieu of a master's degree
• Experience with facilitating group training with five (5) to twenty-five (25) participants preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Valid Indiana driver's license that meets Eskenazi Health's driving policy requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Deep understanding of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
• Must be skilled in Power BI and data collection, sharing, and reporting
• Understanding of and ability to implement a strengths-based, community treatment model
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communications
• Willingness and ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills
• Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists, and manage a project plan
• Ability to interpret and apply complex directives, information and regulations
• Deep understanding of Eskenazi Health and the end-user community throughout SEMHC
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be built

• Ability to communicate effectively with project leadership and subject matter experts
• Ability and interest to learn the software and increase knowledge over time
