Morgan Horse Farm Barn Manager (Weybridge, VT)

Provide daily horse care and lead daily chore routine. Train and supervise all people new to MHF. Prepare horses for daily training and exercising. Manage the completion of barn management tasks. Maintain a clean and orderly barn. Ensure the completion and organization of equine documentation, including breeding, nursery, health, and feed documents. Supports the PPD facilities repair person for routine equine facility maintenance. Assist the management and execution of value-added tours and promotional events, on and off farm, including set up and breakdown of event activities.
Maintain a positive team-oriented attitude, and excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and care.; work independently and complete assigned tasks.
High School Diploma/GED, 3-4 years of equine husbandry experience. Previous experience working around farm equipment.Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment (POPE) screen.
Ability to work every weekend, and occasional evenings, and holidays as needed. Previous experience working hands-on with horses.
$22.00-27.00
This position is based at the Morgan Horse Farm in Weybridge, Vermont.
Position located in different city, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, 40 hour work week, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required
