Position Information:
This is an on-site position in Pontiac, IL.

Role Definition:
Procures prove design components for Fuel Systems Engineering. Leads team supporting operations and manufacturing processes, tooling and tool design, and equipment needed to successfully and economically produce assigned parts/products in accordance with engineering specifications.
What You Will Do:
Order and procure prove design components for fuel systems engineering. This entails obtaining quotes from internal and external prove design suppliers, generating purchase orders using Caterpillar systems, tracking the components through development and manufacture, receiving the components and ensuring accounts payable are closed.
Work closely with design and manufacturing engineering to provide input to suppliers and processes.
Maintain an expert level understanding of the prove design resources and their capabilities.
Define prove design order priorities working with the various Fuel Systems product groups.

Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site. Reviews out of process activities that are required to procure prove design hardware for safety in procurement.
Level Extensive Experience:
Consults on the use of new tools and techniques for safety protection.
Communicates safety awareness to Caterpillar machining resources and ensures ROHS compliance.
Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations.
Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action.
Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Level Working Knowledge:
Contributes to the development and implementation of specific manufacturing procedures.
Investigates the need to refer potential exceptions upward for review and approval.
Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility.

Summary Pay Range: $108,360.00 - $162,480.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
