Remote Vendor and Contract Management Specialist - Open to Nationwide Applicants

Salary Range: 120,000- 137,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

The Vendor and Contract Management Specialist is responsible for supporting Sedgwick Government Solutions in the recruiting, contracting, implementation, process improvement, and optimization of vendor management programs across a portfolio of managed care solutions. This role will collaborate with strategic vendor partners to achieve key performance measures and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison between vendors and Sedgwick Government Solutions business units to ensure high-quality, competently priced solutions that meet our business needs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive cost-effective, high-quality vendor solutions.
  • Draft and review contractual agreements between companies and suppliers of products or services.
  • Coordinate draft language with legal, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer and oversee contracts with complex external vendors.
  • Ensure vendor performance aligns with company expectations and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies to optimize vendor services across the organization.
  • Monitor, analyze, and trend vendor program data to assist in the development, implementation, and driving of key initiatives
  • Serve as the liaison to vendors to communicate issues and coordinate for issue resolution, as needed
  • Manage day-to-day issues with ancillary vendor program, interfacing with vendors and internal staff
  • Keep current with market trends and demands
  • Create strong and effective internal partnerships and collaborate across internal business units
  • Use verbal, written, and active listening skills - effectively communicate in a professional productive manner with the team, co-workers, partners, and clients. Take ownership of personal actions and outcomes; encourage and empower team members to do the same.
  • Is an effective team member; supports the team by pitching in at any level and effectively working across the organization to meet the needs of the business unit
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from an accredited College or University in a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience; managing projects and/or vendor relationships
  • Minimum 3+ years of managed care experience preferred
  • Federal/Government contracting experience preferred
  • Functional knowledge and experience with Workers' Compensation services are preferred but not required
  • Experience managing external vendors and the contracting process
  • Strong understanding of service-level agreements and vendor compliance
  • Familiarity with managed care vendors
  • Attention to detail, timetables, and commitment to completing tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and computer savvy
  • Must be well organized, efficient, and able to work independently and within a team
  • Responsible for having reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in established home office
  • Must have Excellent Communication Skills via Phone, E-Mail, Text, Verbal, Documentation Skills, ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Prior to training candidates must be able to pass a preliminary credit and background check
  • The ability to obtain and maintain public trust federal security clearance(s)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Sedgwick Government Solutions provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of a specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($120,000 - $137,000).
