The Plant Operator is responsible for the plant's efficiency and effectively to maximize production while maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Housekeeping is a high priority. You mayalso operate a loader to move, load trucks and stockpile rock, gravel or other materials in a safe manner. May operate a variety of other vehicles and heavy construction equipment. This position will work the 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
Maintain inventory of screens and spare parts as well as stockpile inventories.
Works with quality control department to ensure a quality product is produced
Communicates with project managers, foreman, loader operators and crew on a daily basis
Assists plant management in ordering materials needed for plant operation
Operates plant equipment to regulate flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and mud ponds
Performs repairs as needed to plant equipment and performs preventative maintenance in order to keep the plant running
Assists plant management with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance
Performs a variety of tasks assisting with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials
This position will work the 3rd Shift (8pm start). Overtime and working on Saturday will be required.

Minimum Education and Experience
Previous plant experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements & Conditions
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions andtolerate being exposed to loud noise
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
