We are seeking a Manager of Investor Relations to support and drive argenx's communication strategy with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the biotech industry, strong analytical and writing skills, and experience in problem-solving within a fast-paced environment. The Manager will work directly with the U.S. and European IR Leads (within the broader Integrated Communications and IR team) to support all investor related activities, while streamlining processes to contribute to the overall efficiency and growth of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare materials for investor meetings, data readouts, earnings, and other external communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with argenx's investment narrative. Role will require a significant amount of writing initial draft materials for all key investor communications


  • Support the development and maintenance of argenx's key investor and analyst relationships


  • Work closely with the team to identify and track key shareholder targets, ensuring optimal corporate access exposure


  • Assist in the coordination of investor events, including earnings calls, conferences, investor days, and meetings with institutional investors


  • Evaluate covering analyst models versus internal projections, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate data collection with software available


  • Analyze competitor activities and data to provide insights to senior leadership and inform investor communication strategies


  • Collaborate with the team and members of management to address investor concerns, develop messaging for key events, and craft strategies to respond to market dynamics and financial questions


  • Support stewardship engagement relationship management to evaluate investor ESG focus areas


  • Assist with the IR-component of the annual report, collaborating cross-functionally


Skills and Competencies:


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities required given expectation to work on consensus; (Data analysis, organization, and project tracking, etc.) Fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint required


  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail


  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, draw insights, and make data driven recommendations


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex scientific and financial information for diverse audiences (both internal and external)


  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information


  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


  • Must be a strong team player - works well with others in a collaborative setting


Education, Experience and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA, PhD, or advanced degree is a plus


  • 3-5 years of experience in Investor Relations, Banking, Corporate Finance, or a similar role within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Prior Investor Relations experience is preferred


  • Strong experience with excel-based analysis, and creating presentations for investors and senior leadership


  • A foundational understanding of the biotech sector and investor dynamics


  • Prior experience writing financial communications within a biotech or pharma setting is a plus (earnings scripts, press releases, etc.)
