We are seeking sophomore, junior, and/or masters-level students majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, government affairs, or a related field for a 12-Week Student Intern role with 2 openings in Wilmington, DE for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties:
This posting has 2 openings for the below projects:
Respiratory & Immunology and Vaccines & Immunotherapies Communications:
Internal stakeholder management and alignment to help create media and digital strategies (internal and external) for upcoming brand or therapeutic area milestones to encourage One R&I voice
Find ways to leverage internal and external media platforms to provide company and business updates appropriately
Work with cross-functional teams to help optimize integrated medical congress approach for corporate affairs
External Corporate Communications:
Provide writing, editing, project management, communications tracking, presentations, meeting planning and related project support for communications
Support media relations and social media tactics including copyediting press releases, writing blog/social posts and conducting monitoring/tracking for trends and stories related to AstraZeneca
Assist with maintenance of content for www.astrazeneca-us.com
Position Requirements:
Undergraduate sophomore, junior, and/or masters-level students majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, government affairs, or a related field. **Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Completed coursework in communications, public relations, marketing, political science, policy, and/or journalism is preferred
Previous internship experience in the [internal or external] communications, media relations and/or PR field is preferred
Graphic design, multimedia strategies, and social media skills such as Canva, Cision, or Brandwatch are a plus.
Interest in healthcare or scientific communications is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Must be able to meet deadlines/balance multiple tasks at one time
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Wilmington, DE 3-5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
