Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is seeking passionate and candidate to take on the responsibilities of GM, Advanced Thermal Solutions. The position will be responsible for the serve rand data center thermal architecture, design, analysis, and validation of thermal technologies, from system, rack to data center total solutions. The candidate will have strong background in thermal management, data center operations, and a proven track record in managing complex projects and teams. This role utilizes and champions a design process based on estimating, simulating, and testing the thermal performance of new products and architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong fundamental background in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, HVAC system knowledge and the implementation of thermal solutions in enterprise electronics. This role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to drive innovation in liquid cooling technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Develop and validate liquid cooling thermal solution for rack solutions with respect to industry standards
• Evaluate all of the system layout, power consumptions, air flow, acoustics, sensors and related mechanical testing
• Perform system and component level thermal analysis, definition, testing (including chamber test set up, thermocouple installation, automated data acquisition)
• Thermal debugging, system optimization and documentation
• Analyze structural and thermal aspects to ensure feasibility and specify thermal interface materials and manufacturing process
• Provide identification and creation of new techniques to advance thermal development and validation
• Develop and Implement strategic plans to drive growth and innovation in liquid cooling solutions. Lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve business objectives
• Oversee the planning execution, and delivery of liquid cooling projects. Ensure projects are completed on time with highest quality standards
• Optimize processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity
• Work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions

Qualifications:

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace, Thermal, or Mechanical Engineering discipline is preferred
• 15+ years experience or equivalent is desirable
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, managing large teams and complex projects.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must have solid knowledge of thermal management hardware, heat transfer materials, HVAC system and cooling devices
• Must have extensive experience in designing thermal solutions, fans, radiators, cold plates, CDUs, cooling towers, immersion tanks, etc.
• Must have rich production and deployment experience, and have in-depth understanding of liquid cooling data center applications
• Must have experience building new product lines
• Solid knowledge in general Mechanical/thermal engineering analysis, validation, documentation and communication
• Knowledge of mechanical/thermals (Heat transfer enhancement technology, two-phase cooling, mass transfer, heat exchanger design, cooling devices, air flow, temp, power, cooling, mechanical design) with electrical/power (power distribution, AC power types, power calculations, DC power, regulatory/safety)
• Must to have good working spirit and work well in a team and face-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

Salary Range

$256,000 - $300,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
