If you are looking to utilize your business partnering and FP&A skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) team is the place for you. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance and growth. You'll have the opportunity to standardize and coordinate forecasting, planning, and analysis, gaining strategic insights into business performance and tracking key investments across the operating unit

Responsibilities:


  • Provide strategic finance support for Marketing, Training/Education, and administrative functions within CAS to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.

  • Perform detailed variance analysis, comparing actual results against budgeted figures, and provide insightful commentary to management.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to leadership, highlighting key financial trends, variances, and recommendations for improvement.

  • Standardize processes to provide business performance insights.

  • Drive continuous improvement and share best practices across Medtronic finance.

  • Educate business partners on financial topics and policies.

  • Lead the development and deployment of annual KPIs and processes.

  • Handle ad-hoc requests and special projects as needed.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Strategy or technical area (2+ years with an advanced degree).

Nice to Have


  • CPA or MBA

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint

  • Experience with Essbase and/or SAP

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead others

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage projects simultaneously

  • A high degree of initiative and motivation

  • Ability to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic environment

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and valuation skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match , Short-term disability , Paid time off , Paid holidays , Employee Stock Purchase Plan , Employee Assistance Program , Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums) , and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
