Reporting to the Process Supervisor/Logistics Supervisor/General Manager, the Logistics Coordinator ensures that all product received is counted and inspected, prepared for pre-conditioning to maximize chamber utilization, and ensures that all product is withdrawn from pre-conditioning and aeration at the appropriate times. Must be familiar with customers and cycle times.
Responsibilities
Ensures that all product is received and that the appropriate information is entered into the computer system.
Oversees the preparation of loads for pre-conditioning; ensures that all product is withdrawn from pre-conditioning as well as from aeration at the appropriate time.
May schedule sterilization cycles so that maximum chamber efficiency is obtained.
May review records for each batch prior to being turned over to Quality Assurance
Maintains compliance with all FDA, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
Processes special requests for new and existing customers.
Removes and accounts for biological indicators (BI's) and prepares product for shipment.
Assists with other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
SUPERVISION GIVEN: May direct the work of others.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years working in Shipping/Receiving.
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Should be proficient using a computer and be able to analyze data in a database/spreadsheet.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Special Requirements
Must be medically approved for respirator use.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity (120F and 60% RH for 20 minutes).
Training Required
Must complete all required training for a "Logistics Coordinator" outlined in the training manual.
