Position Summary



A Digital Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the press and auxiliary equipment related to the digital press.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make-ready and operate press based upon written instructions provided
  • Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines
  • Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications
  • Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses or accidents immediately
  • Perform routine maintenance on the press
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Press operator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally
Physical Demands & Work Environment

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and see.
