Job Description:

Primary responsibility of this position to be a subject matter expert on Salesforce and support systems developed and maintained by Business Intelligence. You will also be asked to provide in-depth analysis. This position will work with all levels of the organization to gather reporting requirements and turn those requirements into reports that provide valuable insight to decision makers. You should also be able to develop, implement and maintain an understanding of Business Intelligence technology and architecture, including data warehousing, ETL, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain Salesforce and provide in-depth analysis to the system owners.
Gather user requirements and firm understanding of expected end-goals/results.
Generate technical specifications documents, project plans, and wireframes.
Document functionality of any custom applications, component, or interfaces thoroughly.
Development using BI tools that includes writing complex SQL, designing and developing reports and dashboard using a number of different reporting tools.
Design data models and visualization that meet project requirements.
Create and maintain documentation related to the BI infrastructure/requirements.
Solve complex business problems with functional, clinical, and claims data.
Should have the ability to adapt to any Business Intelligence software/tools.
All other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Services or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Two (2) - Five (5) years' experience in a healthcare business intelligence setting or related field. An appropriate combination of education, skills, and experience, can be substituted for total years;
Experience performing analysis and reporting on healthcare data. Familiarity with healthcare processes, care pathways, and medical terminology;
Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques, relational databases, strong knowledge in web , mobile and automated process development, strong knowledge of automated reporting tools, high level of experience with SQL and electronic health records;
Limited experience with UI/UX design tools, such as: Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, or similar;
Professional experience developing complex ETL processes and developing complex queries using T-SQL;
Strong knowledge of analytical tools and techniques to investigate data trends, issues, and to draw conclusions from data;
Strong experience delivering analytics to technical, non-technical and management teams;
Strong experience developing visualizations that consume data models;
Experiences in all stages of BI project work (requirements, development, logical design, physical design, implementation, testing and deployment);
Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships;
Knowledge of industry standard Business Intelligence (BI) solution tools, such as: Oracle, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau or any other Business Intelligence products.;
Knowledge of Microsoft BI technology (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS);
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating product and business needs into technical specifications;


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in ASP.NET, C#, Web API, RESTful web services etc.
Statistical modeling experience.
Familiar with R, Python or any other scientific programming language.
Familiar with Power Apps, Salesforce or similar products.
Experience with Oracle Financial Reporting Studio;
Experience with DevOps and Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.);
Strong working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.


INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
