Xanitos is hiring a FULL-TIME Hospital Groundskeeper for 1st Shift at Wilkes-Barre General hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

• Hourly Pay Rate $14.35


• Workdays: Monday through Friday, and every other weekend/holiday


• Shift: 1st Shift - 7am to 3:30pm

Job Overview:

Keeps grounds and landscaping clean and detailed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Picking up trash and debris outside of the facilities


• Weed pulling and spraying.


• Weed whacking.


• Watering plants, flowers, and trees.


• Prune the bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look.


• Power-washing sidewalks and building


• Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for.


• Repairs, paints, and stains outdoor chairs, benches, trash cans, signs and lights.


• Scatters grass seed on bare spots or areas.


• Sidewalk snow removal.


• Indoor/Outdoor painting.


• Cleans parking garages, including stair wells, elevators and elevator lobbies, signs, fire extinguishers, and emergency call boxes.


• Clean vents as assigned within the hospital.


• May be required to clean inside the hospital if critical staffing shortage.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in the janitorial industry a plus


• Medical cleaning a plus


• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
