Task Description: Supply Technician (01410):

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

Knowledge & Skills:


  • Must have a good working knowledge of U.S.M.C. and U.S. Navy policies, methods, and technical publications
  • Must be familiar with manual and automated methods of supply administration
  • Must have a working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Overall knowledge of a complete supply system to include research, stock control, demand processing, issuing, storage, and handling of supplies and equipment

Task Requirements:

  • Perform Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) functions
  • Receive, inventory, sticker/bar code, document, and store all new minor/plant account property as it is delivered to the unit
  • Coordinate and monitor all minor/plant account property transactions and the status of all outstanding documents /requisitions
  • Utilize Government Property Inventory (GFI) Automatic Data Processing (ADP) equipment and current methods to keep the unit continuously informed on minor/plant account property status and disposition.
  • Tool Control Program such as tool issue/receipt supporting aircraft maintenance shops including hazardous materials, tool room/box/pouch configuration
  • Coordinates limited aspects of technical supply related to local supply activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining material requirements list, inventories, bench stock (expendable items), critical items list, receipt, storage and issue records, coordinates, processes and expedites supply transactions.
  • Orders parts as defined by Aircraft Mechanics and Technical Manuals.
  • Determines and forecasts material requirements, and establishes minimum stock levels.
  • Prepares documentation necessary for turn-in or repair of repairable components.
  • Analyzes to define or recognize the dimension of problems involved, collects the necessary data to establish the facts, and takes or recommends action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SE Asset Manager Course (C-555-0026)
  • Seven (7) or more years' experience in supply functions
  • Experience using U.S.M.C. and U.S. Navy computer supply systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Logistics Specialist (LS) "A" school or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years' experience in supply functions
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd, or 3rd shift as required
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule work-week schedules as required
  • All Contractors are required to have a Common Access Card (CAC) and shall be required to pass the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 "Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance"
  • Must have and maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • Must have Industrial Yankee-White Access, Category II, per DODINST 5210.87 within 12 months of hire
  • Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms.
  • Must be able to use hand and power tools.
  • Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
  • Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties as assigned.

Compensation

$46.71/hour

Other Compensation

Employees that waive medical insurance, receive an opt-out payment of $5.75 per hour paid to a maximum of 40 hours per week.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
