Fabricator (welder) of hollow m etal doors and frames.

Essential Functions

• H andles hollow metal doors and frames weighing from 60 to 150 pounds
• Performs fabrication on these products including: Welding parts together
• Using jigsaw or other power tools to cut holes in doors and frames
• Using 40 pound electric grinder to smooth out welds, etc.
• Installing vision kits and glass in doors u sing electric drills
• Reads Work Orders and Product Templates to establish necessary fabrication to be performed
• Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
• Forklift certification preferre d
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• B asic computer skills
• Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware
• Good communications skills
• Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
• Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day . Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 + pounds occasionally. Standing , reaching, walking .

Work Environment

Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting and use of welder and other power tools . Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware .
