You will make an impact by:
Providing professional leadership and support, and serving as an educator, role model, mentor, advisor, and facilitator.
Providing high-quality clinical instruction to students during seminars, and courses/immersive and fieldwork; assessing students' didactic and clinical competency.
Your Experience Includes:
Limited teaching experience in a higher education environment is required. Generally, those who have strong research and/or clinical backgrounds but no or limited experience in teaching meet this criterion.
Clinical experience and the ability to supervise graduate-level students in a CACREP-accredited program is required.
Clinical skills to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.
Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills applicable to specialized program area.
Knowledge of accreditation standards.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information and report.
Required Education, Certifications, and Licensures:
PhD/Ed.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program or a related doctoral degree.
Must maintain the Assistant Professor appointment rank by WCU Graduate Faculty Appointment & Promotion criteria.
Active Licensed Professional Counselor is required.
Must meet and maintain the qualifications and standards set forth by any accreditation body that West Coast University is accredited by or in the process of obtaining accreditation from, for area of expertise and expectations of faculty members as outlined in regulatory documents and any professional certifications deemed necessary to meet the requirements of the teaching role.
