DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The EHS Specialist must be an experienced technical professional in the field of safety and environmental management. This person should have a successful history of the following responsibilities, manufacturing applications.
Health and Safety
Support & coordinate EHS culture, policy, programs, & standard operating procedures.
Support & coordinate JHA's / JSA's / PDA's, mitigation controls
Support and coordinate EHS culture, policy, programs, & standard operating procedures.
Collect, compile, & maintain EHS training & systems records.
Conduct & support frontline leadership training
Support & Coordinate EHS change mgt. applications.
Assist with recordable, lost workday, and restricted workday cases.
Demonstrated strong ability for hands-on work and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task, to manage shifting priorities and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for site visits
Education & Qualifications:
4 year degree in Safety, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Similar Field
2-5+ Years in occupational health and safety and manufacturing.
2-5 years in EHS technical role
Preferred OSHA 10 or 30, with preferred OHST, Hazard Communication OSHA Training, HAZWOPER 40 Training
Physical Requirements:
Ability to life and carry 40lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to work indoors/outdoors in a manufacturing environment.
