Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager - Major Capital Projects will lead a team of Supply Chain professionals in support of a robust and diverse capital project portfolio. The relevant project portfolio includes ~20 organic and inorganic growth projects at all phases of development - early scouting through execution and handover to asset management. The Supply Chain Manager will provide 3rd party contract strategy expertise, market intelligence, contract authoring & negotiation, contractor performance management, logistics and materials management support across the portfolio. The Supply Chain Manager will also lead various 3rd party teams delivering procurement and expediting activities.
This is an in-office role based in downtown Houston, TX, at our corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Functional Delivery
Supply Chain subject matter expertise in support of Capital Project development
Capital project market expertise including Engineering/Procurement, Construction, Fabrication, Equipment, Raw Materials, Labor
Establishment of Supply Chain procedures supporting Capital Project development
Deep understanding of and demonstrated ability to negotiate contract models, legal terms and conditions, commercial frameworks
Leadership and delivery of Sourcing function:
Deep understanding of business requirements and specifications and ability to incorporate into sourcing strategies, supplier selections and decisions
Guidance on approach to market
RF(x) development, evaluation & award
Contract authoring & negotiation
Buying, expediting, payment
Maximize utilization of systems & tools
Ensure strategies and contracts are leveraged across the parent company, Saudi Aramco, as relevant
Works with internal stakeholders, external 3rd parties, and internal Supply Chain organization to continuously improve value delivery through the Motiva Supply Chain policy
Team Leadership
Leadership, coaching & guidance for direct reports and 3rd party procurement teams
Develop & maintain ongoing relationships with all relevant stakeholders to influence, and support key business requirements
Sr. Management engagements & presentations
Ensures the Supply Chain team is perceived as a positive and value adding integral partner to Motiva business teams by actively engaging supply base and providing innovative commercial approaches to project execution
Contract execution
Support supplier performance management, KPI identification and monitoring
Problem solving & resolution including warranties and performance guarantees
Demonstrate leadership of change management work process
Change order and contract amendment management

Experience and Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related technical or commercial field.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in capital project supply chain management or a similar manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of capital project contracting and procurement best practices, including both services and materials.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization and diverse international cultures.
Proven ability to adapt to multiple, evolving priorities.
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams.
Expertise in stakeholder and supplier management.
Proficient in financial and market analysis with a commercial mindset.
Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at the time of hire.
Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at time of hire
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
Over 10 years of experience in capital project supply chain management or a similar manufacturing industry.
Relevant supply chain certifications are preferred (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, PMP).
