The Marketing Director, Pursuits leads the marketing pursuits team for a specified region, proving overall leadership and direction for all marketing activities related to individual business pursuits. This position works in partnership with the business developers and operations leads within their region to strategize on pipeline management, pursuit approach, and overall proposal and interview execution. The Marketing Director, Pursuits also collaborates with the positioning team within marketing to help ensure contacts associated with our key pursuits are included in our targeted marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing a marketing team along with developing talent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborates with the regional BD teams and Seller-Doer leads to establish strategic pursuit planning and development processes, including opportunity identification and assessment, and long-term positioning and capture planning activities.
Regularly interfaces with the regional BD teams, Seller-Doers, and Operational leads to help monitor and manage the regional sales pipeline and prioritize requests for resources.
Tracks and reports on pursuit-specific activity.
Develops a strong understanding of Cumming Group’s business to provide beneficial input on teaming strategies, proposal responses, and interview preparation and coaching.
Manages and leads a team of direct reports in assigned region, fostering team-building and cohesion among all team members to maintain an environment of creativity, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Works with BD, the Seller-Doer teams, and the centralized marketing team to ensure consistency of approach and messaging from capture planning through positioning and the development of proposal and interview deliverables.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, 3+ years managing a marketing team, 5+ years of proposal experience.
