ASU-Beebe is seeking an adjunct Instructor of Health Information Technology to begin teaching in summer session II, July 2021.
ASU-Beebe, a two-year residential community college part of the Arkansas State University System, is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidate(s) interested in future part-time teaching opportunities in the following academic disciplines:
a. Health Information Technology
The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, surgical procedures, medical office procedures, and Microsoft Office Suite software; provide consistent, quality teaching. Courses may be taught on any of the ASU Beebe campuses, with night and Saturday classes possible, and could include face-to-face, zoom, internet assisted and online instruction. Instructors may be asked to teach up to (9) credit hours per semester.
Associate's (or higher) degree in related field and at least two (2) years of related, non-teaching work experience; ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed; strong computer and technology skills.
Previous teaching experience; RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCSP credentials; Current member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check.
