The Enterprise Architect Engineer provides the necessary design, engineering, and analysis tasks to support the development of solutions to ensure that system integrations meet architectural needs and align with engineering governance and standards. The Enterprise Architect Engineer creates deliverables that enable our platforms to communicate with each other and exchange critical information to support our business units.

Key Elements of Your Position

You will be part of a dynamic team of experienced architects collaborating on a solution to create a modernized API as an example to help drive our organization forward. You will be partnering with architects, engineers, and analysts to build out our API platform. You will bring best practices, a track record of fostering partnerships, and an approach that delivers results. You will leverage sophisticated engineering and analytic tools and methodologies in support of a winning strategy in a continually changing business environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as technical lead for architectural engineering.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and leaders to understand their architectural challenges.
  • Develop a solution in support of a variety of architectural needs.
  • Work with real-time events to stream data into a scalable API hosted in our cloud environment

Potential use cases to provide:

  • Engineer real-time data feeds from several source systems
  • Define and register a common data model for the event stream in a schema registry
  • Design and code a containerized API using Microsoft C#
  • Set up an automated pipeline to deploy the API and event stream components into Azure
  • Work with the cloud team to configure the API behind our Kong Gateway
  • Release the API documentation into a developer’s portal
  • Create monitoring to detect problems with the API and event streams

Qualifications

Technical Skills

We acknowledge that it is unlikely you hold all we wish for, but we get excited when we meet professionals who have 4 or more of the following:

  • Containerization skills using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Azure Event Hub
  • Microsoft C#, Web API, JSON, Dependency Injection
  • CosmosDB, familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Relational Databases, SQL, DB2, Oracle
  • Unit testing framework, xUnit, Moq

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
