A. POSITION SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for overseeing the receiving, handling, distribution, picking, replenishment, and storage of production materials in the warehouse. Monitor and assign the associates work schedule based on daily workload / backlog.
B. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Auditing and visually inspecting incoming parts and materials per established procedure.
• Responsible for helping physically unloading materials, uploading in JDE, and transferring incoming material to specific receiving locations. Supporting other receiving areas as needed.
• Monitor CTPAT compliance and activities.
• Responsible for monitoring the accurate verification of incoming material, scanners bar coding transaction sorting, labeling and material distribution to all specific areas.
• Assists in the facility’s cycle count program and research receipts issues. Assists Warehouse Supervisor with the preparation and carrying out physical inventory.
• Responsible for communicating expedites to internal and external customers.
• Assist warehouse supervisor scheduling associates appropriately based on order rate needs.
• Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Perform and monitor necessary preventative maintenance.
• Work with other departments to keep production flow moving.
• Maintain and monitor department scoreboards consisting of daily goals, backlog, part shortages, quality, and safety.
• Monitor time and attendance for full-time and temporary associates.
• Communication of daily goals, OT, processes, policies, and announcements.
• Act as backup to shipping & warehouse supervisor when necessary.
• Assist in the development and growth of the department, make recommendations to direct supervisors.
• Support warehouse supervisor to ensure that all company processes and procedures are being followed.
• Communicate to department supervisor any production and associates related issues and concerns.
• Monitor and update inventory receipt routing (Inbound inventory from overseas) by properly and thoroughly researching issues.
• Monitor and update accounts payables problem log discrepancies by properly researching issues.
• May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
• Responsible for fairly distributing workload among the associates.
• Responsible for training all new associates in respective areas (scan gun, JDE, equipment, processes, etc)
C. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Knowledge of JDE system, KANBAN system preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully to all associates and customers, whether internal or external.
