Threat Tec, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business, has an immediate opening for a Senior MI Analyst to support Threat Tec's contract efforts for the Operational Environment and Core (OE Core) Functions at the United States Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2) at Ft. Eustis, VA. The Operational Environment (OE) is a composite of the conditions, circumstances, and influences that affect the employment of military forces and bear on the decisions of the unit commander. As an organic, complex system, the OE provides the common framework in which warfighting programs and strategies are conceived, defined, and executed.
The TRADOC G-2's mission is to understand, visualize, describe, deliver & assess the OE to reduce risk and prevent surprise; today and into the future 2035+. TRADOC G-2 is the designated Lead for Core Function #13 Operational Environment; the process of developing, verifying, validating, accrediting, and providing OE products and services represents an authoritative, validated OE contextual baseline for TRADOC users and operational forces in the areas of training and training development; education; leader development; concept and doctrine development; and capabilities development, integration, and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of threat statements and OE conditions (per CJCSI 3170 series) to aid the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes related to Acquisition, Requirements, and Funding under the Defense Acquisition System.
  • Review and prepare draft documents, ensuring proper consideration of OE/Threat, and submit for approval. Deliverables include an approved, DIA-compliant OE threat paragraph for ICD/CDD/CPDs documents.
  • Deliver high-quality, timely products and services that contribute to TRADOC's efforts to direct the Army's transformation in the 21st Century.
  • Utilize experience, expertise, and ongoing efforts to offer G-2 support in a responsive, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain a broad perspective on defense community developments to enhance operational insights.
  • Provide short-term analytical support, delivering key concepts, insights, and findings when needed.
  • Identify and address additional critical tasks as they arise, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Offer technical and administrative support for G-2 panels, working groups, staff coordination meetings, video-teleconferences, IPTs, and working groups at various levels.
  • Manage a full range of quick-reaction responses to operational, technical, and programmatic taskings.
  • Support G-2 in the preparation of responses and briefings related to ongoing G-2 issues.
  • Act as the lead action officer, integrating support into specific concept requirements and Integrated Concept Teams (ICT).
  • Coordinate participation in workshops, seminars, wargames, and ICTs to enhance collaboration and integration.
  • Provide comprehensive expertise in military, scientific, and technical intelligence to support operations.
  • Oversee acquisition and Foreign Materiel oversight support, ensuring alignment with mission goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Former field grade officer with 15+ years of Military Intelligence experience, former O-5 or O-6 preferred.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree; master's degree, MEL 4 equivalent, SAMS graduate, or LNO experience preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience performing duties like those outlined in this announcement.
  • Must have the professional experience, education, and senior leader skills to operate with minimal supervision at the Department of the Army, Army Command, and Army Service Component Command levels.
  • Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) exercise and experiment planning experience or Joint and Service Test and Evaluation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning, integrating, staff procedures, and operational functions within TRADOC and G-2.
  • Proficient in conducting on-line research and utilizing desktop office applications.

Clearance and Travel

  • Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Minimal travel – 10%
