Threat Tec, a leader in operational support and intelligence solutions, is seeking a highly qualified Capability Assessment / Analysis Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role involves conducting capabilities-based assessments, providing expert analysis, and supporting the development and sustainment of Joint and Special Operations Forces (SOF) capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct capabilities-based assessments to support the development and sustainment of Joint and SOF capabilities and capacity.
Provide analysis to reshape processes aligning with emerging requirements for enhanced SOF support.
Analyze National and SOF strategic guidance and activities to support the integration and synchronization of USSOCOM, Service Component, National Mission Force, and TSOC activities.
Support the USSOCOM Capability Gap Development and Management Process.
Implement DOTMLPF-P analysis and change recommendations.
Recommend solutions to address DOTMLPF-P capability gaps.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of projects and ensure support functions are executed.
Oversee and manage day-to-day project tasks and administration.
Serve as senior advisor and manager for developing SOF and Joint capability requirement documents.
Develop SOF and Joint requirement documents.
Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet task requirements.
Support the development of strategic guidance and capability-based assessments.
Participate in Force Development and Design-related forums, working groups, and external assemblies (e.g., conferences, technology shows).
Engage in wargames, experimentation, concept development, and DOTMLPF-P event analysis.
Provide SOF mission analytical support and expert analysis to identify solutions and further study areas to address capability gaps.
Prepare general/flag officer-level reports and briefings.
Create briefs, information papers, and presentations using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
Develop and maintain an electronic resource, including key points of contact, for mission continuity accessible to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution (Master's degree preferred).
DAU Requirement Management Level C Training (or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years of experience assigned to a Combatant Command (USSOCOM preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Joint Staff, Service, or USSOCOM JCIDS-related assignment.
Completion of Intermediate Service School (Army Military Education Level 4 or equivalent).
Proven performance in a government or contractor role with at least one Special Operations-related SOFCIDS or JCIDS-compliant capability assessment.
Experience supporting the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) or SOFCIDS processes at Level C.
3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff.
2 years of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
Prior service member (O4-O6, E7-E9, CW2-CW5).
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in capability assessments and force development.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
