Job Description for Business Development Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

NY CREATES is looking for an entry level Business Development Coordinator. The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized, and motivated to enable increased sales and look for new and creative ways to market our services/offerings to establish and grow global partnerships and collaboration for R&D, economic and workforce development at NY CREATES and in the semiconductor industry.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as an account program assistant and liaison to delegations and individuals visiting NY CREATES
  • Assist delegations and coordinators' needs, questions, and concerns, and drive a positive conclusion and resolution.
  • Assist in the planning of incoming delegation visits at NY CREATES.
  • Work collaboratively with other internal teams and departments, to promote NY CREATES.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person business meetings and visits, including pre-arrival planning, activities while delegations are on site, and post-visit follow-ups.
  • Provide meeting support, including but not limited to briefing/presentation materials, meeting minutes, action item tracking reports, talking points, and action item follow-up support.
  • Participate in the evaluation process through data collection and interpretation and make recommendations for programmatic improvement, future strategies.
  • Maintain and cultivate strong customer/prospect relationships.
  • Research market insights, industry trends, business opportunities, potential prospects, and competing organizations.
  • Track and record metrics, data, and statistics on customer/prospect performance, connections, and retention regularly.
  • Collate and maintain customer/prospect information in the CRM database.
  • Provide customer/prospect feedback to sales and management.
  • Help create and develop a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Work closely with staff across all departments to implement revenue growth strategies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of sales strategies, client service, and retention plans.
  • Assist with drafting sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Arrange and support customer/prospect meetings among business staff, engineering, and executive teams.
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Business Development Coordinator

  • BS or equivalent working experience in business and/or technical field
  • Proficiency with Office suite of applications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn CRM, contracts/agreements, and other business applications.
  • Individual possesses the ability to interface with customers and internal partners at various levels within the organization; works independently; prioritizes demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum travel of 10%
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in business or a similar field

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS for Business Development Coordinator

  • 3-5 years of relevant business experience working with customers
  • Past customer interfacing experience.
  • Experience with quote or contract preparation
  • Prior experience with a cross-functional or cross-cultural team

Salary Range: $60,000- $70,000

*Posted salary ranges re determined upon experience and education.
