Overview

Lutron has an immediate need for a Senior Design Leader who specializes in product rendering within the Communications team at our New York City office location. In this role, you will support the creative development and execution of marketing materials by creating world class level rendered visual assets. Lutron has tens of thousands of product SKUs and new product launches often involve many product configurations in many finishes. In this role, you will create rendered models that easily scale these multiple finishes and configurations to provide any SKU required for a product launch or marketing program. To succeed, you must exhibit outstanding design skill, deep knowledge of CAD and rendering tools, as well as knowledge of the latest generative AI tools, while as the same time being able to work collaboratively with our creative leaders, program managers and creative team to bring leading marketing materials to life.

Responsibilities

• Execute the creation of super realistic, photorealistic quality product renderings which recreate the true appearance of metal, glass and textured product finishes and details for the use in marketing communication materials
• Create models that can easily scale and provide photo realistic renderings across a multitude of product configurations and surface finishes and or background vignettes
• Help foundationally set up this function in the company: on-boarding software, hardware and venders, as well as helping create the right processes for success
• Brainstorm and strategize with the creative team to help develop creative direction with a focus on the look and feel of the marketing materials
• Collaborate with outside partners, including agencies, photographers, videographers, and illustrators
• Work on projects from initial development to final execution and production of creative assets, with great attention to detail, ensuring accuracy
• Be a steward of good design to ensure deliverables meet or exceed design objectives
• Contribute to our evolving brand guidelines and ensure they are embraced and adhered to in all executions
• Be open to feedback and willing to integrate ideas from other designers, project managers and internal requestors and interpret them into execution within the parameters of the creative brief and brand standards
• Partner with creative leadership, account team, and the business to achieve effective and efficient outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial or Graphic design required with minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Minimum 5 years of experience in rendering creative development and execution
• Portfolio that shows strategic and conceptual design applied across a range of deliverables – web, digital, photo/video, print, email, apps
• Strong experience and expertise with rendering, CAD and their software and hardware tools.
• Motion graphics / animation or AI generative tools experience a plus
• Sense of visual style: strong layout, typography and visual design standards
• Domestic and International travel a possibility

Starting pay: $115,000/yr to $145,000/yr; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
