Shipping & Receiving Clerk




Summary



Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.



Primary responsibilities



• Pull, label, pack and ship orders based on shipping documents provided by supervisor.


• Perform review of outgoing shipments to ensure complete, accurate, and meet required specifications.


• Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as requested by supervisor.


• Assists in performing physical inventory of supplies and products.


• Must be able to follow applicable SOPs.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



Must be detail oriented.


Must be able to lift 40 pounds.


Must have basic math skills.


Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions accurately.


Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.



Education

• High school graduate or GED required. Work experience may be substituted for education.

Equivalency



Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirement. Example: If a job level typically requires an Associate's degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.
