Master Scheduler Position Summary:
The Master Scheduler is responsible for administering the production forecast within Oracle to drive all material and capacity planning activities. They will establish and maintain item planning attributes within the business system, schedule and coordinate the processing of prototype units through the plant, manage warehouse stocking levels, and coordinate capacity planning activities. The Master Scheduler creates and maintains detailed forecast and capacity plans and requirements within the Oracle business system. They also coordinate the maintenance of item attributes used to support the planning process and provide guidance in the utilization of the planning tools provided within the Oracle business system.
Responsibilities
Master Scheduler Job Responsibilities:
Maintain production forecast.
Maintain item planning data within Oracle.
Schedule and coordinate the processing of prototype items within the Britton facilities.
Analyze and manage warehouse stocking levels.
Analyze and facilitate the implementation of process improvements for the planning function.
Coordinate the utilization of available planning tools within the Oracle business system.
Ongoing involvement with new part number release process (ECO).
Assist in establishing and maintaining internal production planning procedures and guidelines
Prepare the production schedule to ensure a controlled flow of approved material through the production processes.
Effectively communicate the schedule and provide a sufficient degree of control to assist in meeting delivery requirements.
Plan and monitor the availability of material required to complete the schedule.
Prepare and analyze information relating to production schedules and material and capacity
Maintain production related information to ensure that other functional areas can obtain current information regarding the status of production.
Work with procurement to expedite material when needed.
Obtain information from customer service and relay this information to production regarding the fulfillment of back orders to prevent customer line downs.
Perform other duties as directed by the Purchasing/Materials Manager
Future job requirement will include review and load forecast into MRP.
Qualifications
Master Scheduler Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2 years of related materials/ production control work experience, or a 2-year Associate or Technical Degree plus 6 years of related materials/production control work experience. (Note: Educational equivalent for the bachelor’s degree equals 8 years of related materials/production control work experience. Educational equivalent for the Associate or Technical Degree equals 4 years of related materials/production control work experience).
APICS certification is preferred.
APICS knowledge is required.
Previous Oracle experience is preferred.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
