The Group Exercise Instructor will enthusiastically lead group exercise classes safely and securely and within the guidelines of the Hagerstown Field House. This part-time position reports directly to the Fitness Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be at least 18 years of ageLead group exercise class while adhering to safety guidelines and regulationsMaintain all necessary certifications needed to maintain employment and teach classesBegin and end class on timePrepare/coordinate appropriate exercises for scheduled classEnsure equipment is put away and studio is ready for next classReport incidents, inquiries, complaints to the Fitness DirectorSecure a substitute for class when unable to work. Inform supervisor of substitute and confirm with substituteTrack attendanceMust be physically able to perform workoutMust be able to prepare/choreograph exercises that are appropriate for designated classCPR/AED certifiedKnowledge of and respect for Hagerstown Field House MissionKnowledge of the rules and regulations of HFH, including its Personnel Handbook, and abide by themWork in a team environmentCommunicate effectively with others, verbally and in writingPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Fitness Director and/or the General Manager
