POSITION SUMMARY
The Credit Manager is an integral part of the Mathy Construction administration team, supporting all aspects of customer credit and accounts receivable processes.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday onsite in Onalaska, WI. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate the creditworthiness of both new and existing customers to ensure appropriate credit terms are applied.
Review customer aging reports and assist in collection of accounts overdue by more than 60 days.
Collaborate with division leaders to streamline billing and collection processes, with the aim of reducing collection times and improving retention through best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert of credit risk management methods, including liens, payment bonds, and other instruments, ensuring their proper application when necessary.
Develop, implement, and maintain documented credit and collection processes that ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Address customer inquiries related to receivables and credit, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
Conduct regular account maintenance to ensure accurate customer credit profiles based on creditworthiness.
Analyze the credit portfolio, offering recommendations to management for adjusting bad debt reserves as needed.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit and collection process.
Lead or assist in credit-related projects, as needed, ensuring timely execution and adherence to objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for ad-hoc reporting requests, delivering accurate and timely results.

Associate Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting and/or 3+ years of related business experience
General understanding of basic accounting and general ledger principles
Working knowledge of receivable aging and fundamental risk analysis
Strong problem-solving skills with sound organization and work prioritization
Proven record of direct customer interaction
Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams, integrating seamlessly with multiple departments to achieve shared goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Consistently demonstrates a responsible, conscientious, and professional approach to all tasks, maintaining a strong work ethic and a results-oriented focus to achieve organizational goals
