Position Overview:
The Project Controls Analyst will be accountable for the performance of the project controls discipline, with an emphasis on the responsibility of managing and controlling the costs associated with a project. Key responsibilities typically associated with this role include budget management, cost tracking, cost analysis, reporting, such as preparing cost reports and presenting findings to project stakeholders, and change management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the project's, cost controls (including invoice validation), change management, risk management, and earned value
Analyze budgets for requisitions and process requisition through purchase order
Perform cost analysis and develop forecast basis
Evaluate project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address any specific needs
Interdisciplinary communications with engineering, construction, and procurement to coordinate project activities and inputs
External communications with client, subcontractors, and joint venture partners for coordination on data integration and reporting
Review and audit cost, progress reports that are prepared in regard to project controls
Develop and provide project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, monthly forecasts, and reporting
Perform cost forecast analysis
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
3 + years in Cost, Scheduling, and/or Estimating experience, preferably in a construction or operation environment.
Experience evaluating contracts and commercial terms.
Proven ability in managing data, interpreting Project Control Reports, and cross-functional communication.
Microsoft Office tools with competence in Microsoft Excel required
Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Must be versed in Microsoft Office tools with competence in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Education and Experience
Proficient with project health assessments, cost analysis, forecasting, budget development, and variance reporting techniques
