The Director of Retail Operations will oversee all aspects of the company's wealth management operations, including technology platforms and integration, compliance and other operational support functions. They will be a key member of the leadership team and will collaborate closely with other senior leaders to ensure that the company is well-positioned for growth and success.


Essential Functions for this role include:



  • Manage day-to-day operations including integrated platform technologies (custodian, trading, planning, etc.), operations and client support functions.

  • Develop and maintain written operational policies and procedures to reflect current best practices.

  • Identify problematic areas and work with the team to implement strategic solutions.

  • Monitor and oversee third party vendor and custodian performance as it relates to daily operations to ensure quality and cost effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have experience working with wealth management platform providers and custodians e.g., Envestnet, Vestmark, Orion, Charles Schwab, Pershing, Apex, and/or Fidelity

  • Ensure the company is compliant with all regulatory requirements and manages operational risk

  • Collaborate with the firm’s IT and risk management units to ensure timely resolution of open issues.

  • Develop and maintain written training materials used to train and acclimate new employees to the firm’s procedures and systems.

  • Oversee support staff and provide performance feedback


If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:



  • 15+ years' experience in financial management

  • 10+ years in a financial leadership role

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in accounting or finance)

  • Strong working knowledge of wealth management platform providers and custodians (e.g., Envestnet, Vestmark, Orion, Charles Schwab, Pershing, Apex and/or Fidelity)

  • Strong working knowledge of Broker Dealer, RIA and Insurance Agency Operations

  • Demonstrate effective communication, leadership, problem-solving and strategizing skills; experience working/ presenting to auditors, executives, and Board of Directors

  • Agile, continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify and implement processes and system improvements.

  • High integrity, purpose-driven, DEI mindset with a strong interest in developing / educating colleagues in financial matters.

  • Technically grounded in planning, budgeting, controls, financial and management reporting, and systems

  • Full Licensure: Series 7, 24, and/or 63,65,66
