Provide information system solutions to internal departments and external customers and partners. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, understanding business processes and needs, and recommending solutions to achieve the business' goals. Solutions will include implementation and integration of purchased applications and development of applications and integrations where appropriate. Projects are completed with cross-functional teams of IT peers and business partners. Manage time and expectations to ensure a high degree of stakeholder and user satisfaction.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Develop standardized parameterized reports using Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) reporting tools from multiple data sources.


  • Support end users on the use of reports and reporting tools.


  • Actively participate in the Data Quality improvement process by making recommendations to simplify data structures and improve information quality.


  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and reduce waste using the LEAN methodology.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, data inconsistencies, scheduling, query performance.


  • Keep current on current trends, best practices, and technologies in BI and make appropriate recommendations to technology planning team.


  • Design and implement multi-dimensional models or "cubes" to meet specific business requirements.


  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop, program, and configure mission-critical applications and/or web portals. Assess user requirements and provide input to departments. Liaise with other IT staff to improve system efficiency, security, and functionality.


  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve potential and evident system problems. Provide troubleshooting support to other staff.


  • Design and apply new methods and procedures. Develop and test systems, programs, and database structure for efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Prepare systems specifications, project plans, and other internal documents. Ensure users and partners understand nature of work being performed, as well as timeframes and milestones. Provide regular status updates to supervisors and stakeholders.


  • Train users in technical aspects of systems.


  • Participate in selection and recommendation of suppliers and vendors. Assist in management of those relationships.


  • Balance high-priority work with lower priority maintenance work to ensure both success of projects and smooth operation of existing functions.


  • Proactively identify opportunities for system and process improvement. Work with management and stakeholders to prioritize and implement solutions accordingly.

SUCCESS PROFILE




Work Experience
: Minimum of 3 years of software development and analysis in a business environment. Commercial, Medicaid, and/or Medicare healthcare insurance industry systems experience preferred. Additional desired experience includes Epic Payer Platform/Tapestry, Databricks, TriZetto Facets, technical integration and implementation, database administration, EDI (ANSI x12 formats), project management experience, and integration of enterprise-wide applications. Programming in VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#. Advanced experience with databases, SSIS and SQL stored procedures



Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of upper-level education and experience required.



Knowledge: Required technical experience may include debugging, software installation, programming development tools, Transact-SQL, basic knowledge and use of MS-Office suite, flowcharting, documentation, MS Visual Studio, and MS SQL Server Management Studio. Primary Technologies/Knowledge: Epic Payer Platform/Tapestry, Databricks, SQL (Microsoft), Microsoft SQL Reporting Services/BI DS, Microsoft SQL Analysis Services/BI DS, Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power View, Power Pivot), Microsoft Master Data Services and Data Quality Services, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Tableau, MDX (Multidimensional Expression).

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
