Shipping - Shipping Lead
JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping Team Lead is expected to drive a proactive safety culture at all times while achieving and maintaining production goals related to quality, productivity, customer service and cost. This position is responsible for training staff, managing staff and scheduling hourly production associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
Maintains a safe working environment and helps to improve overall safety culture at Jamco .
Drives compliance to all safety & Quality programs .
Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings .
Ensure that the facility complies with all internal & external standards.
Achieve department production goals, cost objectives, and KPIs .
Ensure that all products meet Jamco Quality standards .
Track internal movements of late or soon to be late orders.
Use forklift to move finished goods as needed.
Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives including engaging and training employees .
Determine the root cause of manufacturing issues and develop corrective actions .
Determine the root cause of safety incidents, complete investigations and follow up actions.
Document coaching conversations with Individuals and or team members.
Work with other Team Leads to accomplish production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; identifying and eliminate bottlenecks; and reporting results of the processing flow.
Assist in the d evelop ment and training of every team member (New or Active) on procedures, ERP, programs and matrix to improve individual and team performance, cross training abilities and efficiencies.
Team Leadership :
Communicate your teams' attendance issues with Supervisor and / or HR on a daily basis.
Consistently demonstrate Myers Core Values through your actions and your communication. Make sure each team member understands his/ her roll in living

Ability to set expectations and hold your team / all Jamco employees' accountable using coaching communication mythology.
Ability to manage and resolve conflict among employees and drive a culture of open communication .
Perform other duties as assigned including working on the line when asked to assist with day-to-day production needs .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 2-3 years working in a leadership role.
