The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of the product produced. The Quality Technician provides guidance to oven and secondary operators regarding quality standards. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned or reassigned at any time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Inspect product.
Verify rework completed per standards.
Interpret and apply visual standards to product.
Test product.
Quarantine non-conforming product.
Verify inspection paperwork.
Process returned product.
Complete paperwork and compile reports
Participate in root cause corrective action analysis.
Update Syspro
Operate tools in a safe manner.
Maintain excellent attendance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Communicate effectively with co-workers, leadership and other departments.
Train production workers as needed.
Assist Quality Engineers and Quality Manager with PPAP
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Ability to read material documents, labels, etc.
Ability to read and interpret part prints.
Ability to use measuring and test devices (e.g., calipers, ultrasonic gages,...)
Problem solving abilities.
Ability to verbally communicate with leads and supervisors.
Dependability: including ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Strong teamwork skills
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
High School Diploma or GED
Working Conditions
Able to work in hot humid environment for extended periods of time as well as around loud noises is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to alternate stand and remain stationary with intermediate walking through out shift as needed. Frequently lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet. Frequently positions self to maneuver around the material, molds and parts when moving. Must be able to operate tools and write legibility.
