We are looking for results-driven, high performing Production Supervisor candidates for 2nd shift (Mon - Fri 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) who would like to work for a company with many growth and development opportunities in a positive working environment.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor - 2nd shift (Mon - Fri 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) supervises and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing process, while balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve optimum performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Develops a high-performance work team with high levels of employee engagement, morale, satisfaction, and performance.
  • Maintains a high level of visibility with employees. Uses hands-on approach to communicate daily and involve employees in problem solving.
  • Manages department's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as they apply to the department performance and reports performance measures to leaders and designated parties.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with other functional areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality product is being produced and maintains effective production operations.
  • Maintains production results by coaching and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Provides training and other tools/resources to employees to ensure the success of the company.
  • Supports and fosters an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging employees to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
  • Actively takes the role of leadership in the area of responsibility and reinforces the company's policies.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate flow of time off for employees, payroll and attendance transactions.
  • Maintains a clean and organized working environment using 6S model.
  • On time completion of all team performance reviews.
  • Successfully completes all assigned CAR/PAR's on time.
  • Actively participates and supports STOP safety program.
  • Coordinates and schedules all manpower requirements on shift to assure successful execution of production schedule.
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations.
  • Actively provides change leadership as required .

QUALIFICATIONS :


  • Bachelor's degree preferred , minimum three years of experience, including supervisory experience required, or an equivalent combination required.

  • BILINGUAL IN SPANISH STRONGLY PREFERRED .
  • Experience in ISO 9001 preferred .
  • LEAN / Continuous Improvement background strongly preferred : education/experience with root cause analysis, statistical process control, & LEAN concepts, principles and other analytical tools required.
  • Understanding of safety, OSHA and environmental regulations preferred.
  • Strong conflict management / conflict resolution skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing setting.
  • Data driven - ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge of policies and procedures to direct reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in MRP systems strongly preferred .

  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing operations requires the ability to use all necessary safety equipment. Standing, walking, stooping, and bending are frequent and required.
  • Must be able to tolerate repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours on concrete surface.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures.
