Summit Funding Group, Inc. is an established and growing equipment leasing company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Financial Bank. Summit is hiring a full-time Senior Corporate Counsel to assist its General Counsel in the areas of commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and human resource and collection matters.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate customer-facing financing documents, encompassing equipment finance agreements, loan documents, security agreements, assignment and purchase agreements, servicing agreements, guarantees, , UCC filings, consent agreements, waivers, nondisclosure agreements, and More.
Foster collaborative relationships with senior leadership, functional area heads, and Legal colleagues across the organization.
Engage in implementing the company's business initiatives, strategic plans, and special projects alongside the General Counsel, as well as other senior leadership and functional area heads.
Provide guidance to the company on its roles as lessor, servicer, lender, loan participant, buyer or seller within syndicates.
Negotiate a variety of corporate contracts, including equipment leases, loans, and secured financing agreements.
Manage lease contract enforcement, including overseeing collection litigation, bankruptcy and other recovery efforts and remedies.
Research, review and advise the General Counsel and senior management on legal matters such as the UCC, titling issues, and related concerns.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
J.D. from accredited law school
2-4 years relevant firm or in-house experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Focused and positive, with clear organization skills and keen attention to detail

Relationship driven with the ability to work cooperatively with business partners and colleagues
