Lead and manage daily activities of five client accounting staff, including workflows, compliance with policies, and training.
Conduct detailed reviews of financial reports, reconciliations, and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and adherence to owner policies.
Oversee Treasury functions, including disbursement approvals and acting as a signatory on client bank accounts.
Assist property management teams with annual budget preparation and settlement schedules while reviewing financial calculations for accuracy.
Ensure timely payments for property-related expenses, including mortgage, property, and sales taxes, while maintaining compliance with deadlines.
Provide oversight and training on real estate accounting software, such as MRI and Yardi, and manage the organization of accounting documents within OneSpace.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 5+ years of fee-based property management accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in an accounting management role.
Advanced knowledge of financial principles, including GAAP, cash and accrual methods, and expertise in budgeting and operating expense settlements.
Proficiency in real estate accounting software, preferably MRI and Yardi, alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Adobe).
Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
