Administrative Assistant



This Administrative Assistant II will work for a Senior Faculty in the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, providing daily administrative support as well as ongoing expertise with regard to various administrative duties. Incumbent will act professionally, often as the first contact with visitors, PITT and UPMC professionals and staff. Incumbent will also support additional faculty members with daily tasks including grant submissions and fiscal oversite. Works with Senior Program Manager to coordinate and schedule faculty recruitment to ensure all logistics are managed timely and efficiently. This entails, but not limited to:

  1. Serving as the point of contact for candidates, confirming interview dates and times, and providing any necessary details regarding the visit (location, format, requirements).
  2. Ensure recruitment visits are held in the appropriate locations, reserving meeting rooms, arranging for necessary equipment, and confirming venue details.
  3. Organize travel arrangements for recruiting visits, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation, as needed.
  4. Assist with logistics on the day of recruitment visits, including coordinating arrivals, setting up meeting spaces, and ensuring all needed materials are available.

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
