  • Engineering or Engineering Technology degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing or Engineering work experience
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • Direct experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to include hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, control systems and measurement feedback systems
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation and Siemens control systems
  • Experience programming industrial robots
  • Working knowledge of industrial presses, furnaces and flow forming machines

Job Dimensions:

The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, and processes. They will identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.

This position reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, and will work closely with the Process Engineering Manager, Production Area Leads, Continuous Improvement Manager, and all members of the location maintenance team. Collaboration is required with various departments to maintain continuity and open communication for continuous improvement of processes and successful project implementation.

This position has the following responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with plant resource teams (Maintenance and Production) on problem solving activities, cost reduction initiatives and performance efficiency improvements of manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Collect, analyze, and present data which supports proposed maintenance and reliability improvement recommendations
  • Support Maintenance and Production daily to meet production targets
  • Define the scope and schedule of improvement projects

Major Activities & Key Challenges:

Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness by implementing impactful solutions based upon the root causes of deficiencies


  • Manage maintenance repair and improvement projects
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule in order to provide oversight as needed
  • Assist with creating maintenance documentation (Preventive maintenance, work instructions)
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance implementation
  • Support the Reliability Excellence program (REX) with analysis, scheduling, and quotation of components
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of plant equipment and propose phased solutions (short, medium, and long-term)
  • Work closely with hourly Maintenance staff in order to gather information and discuss or provide guidance for repairs or improvements
  • Carry out research in order to identify best available technologies suitable for implementation
  • Ability to identify, clearly communicate and resolve production and equipment issues as part of a team
  • Participate in the development of long-range process and facilities planning, capital expenditure projects and cost savings programs

Environment, Health & Safety Requirements:


  • This position involves some degree of exposure to risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Work is normally performed in an interior work environment. While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing full Personal Protective Equipment to protect from mobile equipment and hot materials when on the shop floor.
  • This position requires physical activity such as walking, sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
  • This position also requires a willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule and occasionally be responsive after normal working hours for support.
