Senior Lab Supervisor




Where will you work: Onsite Mosaic Bartow (3200 Highway 60 West Bartow, Florida 33830)



Hours: Work a 9/80 schedule, providing flexibility and extended weekends every other week.



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lab Supervisor to oversee our industrial laboratory operations, with a specific focus on phosphate-related processes and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong science background, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing laboratory teams and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position follows a 9/80 work schedule and includes on-call responsibilities.



What you'll do?

• Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.
  
  


• Manage performance issues when necessary.
  
  


• Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent.
  
  


• Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
  
  


• Responsible for laboratory safety and housekeeping programs, maintenance of equipment.
  
  


• Investigates new and improved technologies Quality Control and plant process lab operations.
  
  


• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  
  


• Trains, develops, and motivates personnel in their job assignment and duties.
  
  


• Supervises personnel to assure 24hr operation; consults with production and material handling personnel on problems.
  
  


• Be available for on-call duties to address urgent laboratory issues outside of regular working hours.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field.
  
  


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of phosphate chemistry and related analytical techniques.
  
  


• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  
  


• Proficiency in laboratory management software and data analysis tools.
  
  


• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  
  


• 1 - 2 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
