Koch Air is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our Team! This role will perform the tasks necessary for ordering and maintaining satisfactory inventory levels and turns for assigned products at all Koch Air locations. The position can be filled in St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, or Evansville.
Responsibilities
Assist in negotiating cost and service with suppliers to ensure Koch Air remains competitive.
Enter all purchase orders into the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
Confirm all purchase order information and maintain computer system to reflect correct ship dates, etc. in an accurate and timely manner.
Generate and manipulate data relevant to the purchasing team in an efficient and timely manner.
Follow-up on any shipping discrepancies with suppliers and advise pertinent people of the status.
Follow-up on parts stock shipments not received at Koch Air in a reasonable time frame.
Keep pertinent people advised of cost increases in a timely manner.
Monitor slow moving items and assist the Purchasing Manager to negotiate the return or relief of such items in a timely manner.
Assist the Purchasing Manager on development and maintenance of purchasing and inventory procedures, including the QMS (Quality Management System) procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred, not required
