Senior Community Care of North Carolina PACE is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.



Objective: The primary purpose of the Clinic Secretary is to facilitate the maintenance of the resident's medical record, transcribes orders, set up appointments and transportation for residents, and role models the customer service expectation on the station. Prioritizes, organizes and coordinates desk activities to facilitate smooth, efficient unit operations. Manages and performs clerical and non-nursing administrative tasks for the participant unit. Serves as the receptionist/communicator for the resident unit. Manages inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment for the resident unit.

About the job:




Pay: $17.92-$22.00




Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology.


  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.


  • Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.


  • Telecommunications - Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systems

  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
